it’s friday, january 20, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called purvashadha, but & we will have a new moon in the complementary starspace called uttarashadha, in capricorn, tomorrow—there’s a lot to cover! sagittarius inspires us, allows us to feel the abundance of, the infinitude of, possibility; capricorn provides a container for our inspiration, gives us the practical tools, like commitment & perseverance & patience, to make our dream a reality.
purvashadha brings early (purva) victory (ashadha), uttarashadha later (uttara) victory. following on the garden metaphor from yesterday’s post, if we properly weed & prepare our garden (mula) before we plant seeds & nourish them (purva), we cannot but be assured of victory (uttara). trees take longer to yield results than flowers or veggies. what do you want to grow? how patient can you be?
it’s the fourteenth lunar day, the penultimate phase of this lunar month, so it’s a good day to, say, make sure there’s not one more weed that needs to be yanked, one more something that needs to go, gets to be released, so our dream can blossom & thrive in the waxing cycle.
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love, & is in capricorn, adding its special sauce to the new moon energy. the invitation is to dwell in, be, love rather than be attached to our objects of love.
mercury & mars are finally direct, moving forward, & saturn has moved into aquarius for the next two-ish years, yay! altho the relationship between merc & mars is causing some confusing, tempting us toward angry words, this too shall pass &, regardless, we should all be feeling a sense of relief, of new & renewed possibility, the stagnation & frustration dissipating.
the new moon in capricorn invites us to get real about what we want to birth. saturn rules capricorn & plays the long game. so our work for the next lunar month is to feel into what we truly want to commit to, & to set our intention & take it seriously AF. if we do, then we will, inevitably but eventually, be successful. uttarashadha is ruled by the vishwadevas, basically all the gods, all the benevolent forces of the universe. they have our backs, but we have to have ours as well, do our work. got that?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
