it’s wednesday, january 24, & moon moves from gemini this morning into cancer this afternoon while being supported & transported by the starspace called punarvasu. the transition from gemini into cancer is one from being up in our head to being down in our heart, from being thinky to being feely, from intellect to intuition, from rationality to emotionality. we may explore new ideas, try new sports, take new classes under the sway of gemini, but what’s going to stick, what we’re going to keep, is what resonates in our heart, what feels good to us, feels like home, under the sway of cancer.
punarvasu is ruled by aditi, whose name means “unbounded” & who is said to be the mother of all godly beings in the universe. so there is some ginormous maternal energy at play today, available for us to tap into, to use to heal & nourish, whether ourselves or others. remember: it’s unbounded, infinite, we can’t use it up, the well of it will never run dry, so have at it!
it’s the fourteenth lunar day (tithi) until about 9:30 a.m. MST, then the fifteenth. the fourteenth tithi is ruled by goddess jwalamalini (see yesterday’s post for more), the fifteenth by the goddess citra, whose name means “bright, wonderful, splendid, shining, colorful,” etc. think all the colors in the rainbow—just as a rainbow wouldn’t be a rainbow if, say, violet went missing, so our lives wouldn’t be complete without every frequency of energy, every experience, every emotion. at the end of the fifteenth tithi, we’ll have the full moon, in cancer, sign of the divine feminine, of all-embracing, all-inclusive maternal energy. more on that tomorrow, but meanwhile can you create space for, embrace, everyone & everything, every feeling, every experience? rather than judging or comparing, can you hold all, see everything & everyone as part of the splendid, shining, colorful rainbow that is you, your life, how incomplete—unsplendid!—you/it would be without orange or yellow or red?!
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who gives us discriminating intelligence, the ability to gather information & separate fact from fiction, which these days can mean what’s disinformation, misinformation & malinformation, & the agendas behind each. it’s a crazy word universe these days, so let’s not add to the crazy. let’s do communicate honestly, transparently, compassionately.
