it’s wednesday, january 25, & moon is in pisces, moving from the starspace called purvabhadra into uttarabhadra just after sunrise. while aquarius vibrates with the frequency of our connection to all of humanity, our knowing that we are all bound by our sameness as humans, pisces vibrates with the frequency of our connection to all that is, with being part & parcel of the vastness of the universe. pisces invites us to experience ourselves as part of the matrix of all existence, to “see things in continuity, in extension, in expansion, as uninterruptedness,” as a recent piece in “the new yorker” put it.
purvabhadra & uttarabhadra, as you might guess, are two halves of the same coin, the a & b sides of a 45 (remember those?), a sort of yin & yang, the former receptive, the latter active. purva is ruled by jupiter, planet of truth & inspiration; uttara by saturn, planet of focus & determination. uttara invites us to get serious about whatever divine download we received in purva, to take action. uttara does not want us to waste the auspiciousness (purva = auspicious) b/c we don’t believe hard enough, b/c we doubt our ability to do the necessary work.
it’s the fifth lunar day, the fifth phase of the waxing moon, which supports healing & creativity. it also happens to be vasant panchami (vasant = spring; panchami = fifth), the very auspicious fifth waxing lunar day that lands somewhere in january or february, which heralds the end of winter (there are six seasons in the vedic year) & coincides with the hindu month of magha. this day is also the birthday of saraswati, goddess of music, language, knowledge & all the arts. it is said that anything we do, create or initiate on this day will bring long-term success—yowza! so take a few minutes to ponder how you want to best maximize this juicy energy & then set your intention & smack the eff down!
wednesday is owned by mercury, who loves to use all forms of language to communicate. so, given the above, it just might be an extra-good day for starting that novel, or making headway on your dissertation, or sending out a marketing campaign, or … ?
all systems are auspiciously saying go go go today!
