it’s wednesday, january 26, & moon is in libra this morning, moving into scorpio midday, while being supported & transported in the starspace called vishakha. while libra vibrates with the frequency of sociability, of being with others, scorpio vibrates with the frequency of how vulnerable we can become when we open ourselves up to others & how uncomfortable that can make us. notice whether your energy shifts from external to internal today, whether you go from feeling open & engaged to a bit (or more!) overwhelmed & out of control: out of control in the sense of not being on top of your emotions, letting them run wild; out of control in terms of losing yourself in others & how that might not feel so good.
vishakha is ruled by both indra & agni, which represent the king & the priest, the practical & the inspirational, & brings the lesson that in order to reach our highest potential we have to know where we are going, what our dharma is, & be willing to make sacrifices/create rituals to get there. like, you may feel called to write a book, but if you don’t make time to write every day, it ain’t gonna happen. how can you bring ritual into your life to support your goals? how can you make ritual joyful?
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waning moon, which makes it a good day to turn poison into medicine, to turn limiting beliefs about who you be into limitless notions of all you can be. all you have to do is recognize the negative for what it is & ask what it has to teach you. easy-peasy!
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who loves to communicate, & b/c he is retrograde now, it’s a good time to revisit how we are communicating with ourselves, what stories we are telling ourselves, & whether they stand the test of truth. mercury in capricorn invites us to question the stories we’ve been telling ourself about government, among other things. “stories” is not disparaging; stories are how we create our reality. so now is a good time to question whether our stories & our reality are in synch, if the evidence supports them. have fun with that—mercury is a fun guy! or do a crossword puzzle—mercury loves words!
