it’s thursday, january 26, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called revati. pisces is the last sign of the zodiac & as such represents a sort of stopping point on our spiritual journey, a timeout to reflect on where we’ve been & how far we still have to go.
“this is the pathless path—returning to where you were initially before you got lost. the deepest truth in you is where the journey leads—shedding, like taking off layers of an onion, until you come to your essence. the key to the spiritual journey is not acquiring something outside of yourself. rather it is shedding the veils to come back to the deepest truth of your being.”—ram dass
revati, being the final asterism of the zodiac, brings a lesson about dissolution. in fact, it’s hard to locate the stars that define this starspace, as if that section of the sky were disappearing itself. even tho i can’t connect revati’s derivation to the french word rêve, which means “dream,” i always associate the dream state with revati & it turns out, according to wiktionary, that reve (no circumflex) means “womb,” which is the dream state before birth! death is a dissolution, the dream state before rebirth, the completion of a journey, the return to the cosmic womb, to the place where we initially became lost.
it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waxing moon, so it’s a good day to celebrate our victories, like how far we have come on our spiritual journeys, how many layers we’ve shed.
thursday is owned by jupiter, whose sanskrit name is guru. gurus are great teachers but guru is also a principle, the notion that anything & anyone can be our teacher, inspire us, prod us, to evolve. sometimes the prod is gentle, sometimes not so much. illness, breakups, death of a loved one, getting fired—these are all invitations to uplevel by unpacking the thoughts & emotions that arise as a result. triggers are great teachers. we get triggered as an invitation to unlock some unresolved psychic issue—whether we choose to rsvp “yes” to that invitation or not is up to us, but what we resist will persist & we’ll just keep getting triggered until we deal. what’s triggering you now? can you unpack the lesson?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
