it’s thursday, january 28, & moon is full full full in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer is home to the energy of the divine feminine, that which creates & nourishes from an endless supply of love, that which knows that the more you give, the more, rather than the less, you have to give, that love begets love, that giving is its own reward, its own joy. be the love you want to see in the world!
the asterism pushya (see yesterday’s post for more) infuses this full moon with deep connection to what we love & how we nourish; it invites us to hold what & who we love close, like a mother suckling a baby at her breast, the way amma hugs each & every devotee, each person who comes for darshan.
it’s the fifteenth phase of the waxing moon, which we consider the full moon, which is called purnima. thing is, moon is always full—i mean, it’s not as if it literally grows & shrinks every month. it’s just that from earth, from our earthly physical incarnation, we perceive it to wax & wane. but just as the moon is actually always full, so are we. how can you carry the fullness you feel today (or is it just me?!), that sense of unconditional love, forward into every day?

पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ॥

2: Taking Purna from Purna, Purna indeed remains (Because Divine Consciousness is Non-Dual and Infinite),
3: Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, so it’s a good day to connect to gurus, to the wisdom teachers who remind us of what is true & hold our feet to the fire of truth. truth for today, courtesy of amma, whose name means “mother,” as in the mother of us all: love is not an emotion, it’s a flow. can you be in the ever-flowing flow of love?
