it’s tuesday, january 5, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called hasta. virgo brings out our perfectionistic nature, which, like everything, swings, like a pendulum, from positive to negative. through the lens of positivity, we see what’s wrong, we notice that dustball, the grammar errors in something we’re writing, & get out the broom or correct our syntax. through the negative lens, we nitpick & complain & criticize, others or ourselves—we make ourselves & others feel wrong, unworthy. let’s try not to do that, ok? b/c it doesn’t do anyone any good—either we feel bad ourselves or, in making others feel bad, we also feel bad, b/c in putting out that negativity we have to feel it as well, so it is a lose-lose. there is always a nice way to say things.
the asterism hasta reminds us of the connection between our literal & metaphorical hands & our heart, source, god, the divine, the intelligence of the universe—whatever you want to call it, however you conceive of that force that moves magically & sublimely through us & is responsible for the creativity that flows through us, that allows us to manifest what we manifest. the more we honor that force, the more it will flow through us. can you say, “not mine but thine be done”?
it’s the seventh phase of the waning moon, which is related to lord indra. nice! b/c indra reminds us not to get all up in our heads & think we’re all that; he reminds us to be humble, which see hasta!
tuesday is owned by mars, who is hanging out in his home sign of aries until february 21, giving us the ability to power through, get ‘er done, feel the joy of having a body & using it well. but it can also make us impulsive, so we must beware that tendency, try to pause so we can check in with our guidance lest we do something we might regret. for those who are aries or cancer or libra or capricorn rising (ask me if you don’t know!) in the vedic system (i.e., not western!), this transit is especially potent, has the ability to bring great success from the actions you take, so act wisely!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
