it’s wednesday, january 5, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called shravana until about 10 a.m. mountain time, then in dhanishtha. while moon doesn’t transition into aquarius until this evening, we can start feeling into, even moving, the “my immediate world,” the “me/mine-oriented” (& i don’t mean that in a bad way) energy of capricorn toward the “world at large,” “others-oriented” energy of aquarius. for example: my community was recently devastated by wild fire & everyone & their mother who wasn’t directly affected wants to help, do something, so there is no shortage of ways to donate money or clothes or household goods or time or housing or healing services. so i get to gather blankets & quilts & pots & pans i have in excess (see yesterday’s post for more) & offer them to people who really need them (very humanitarian aquarius). clearing physical space clears mental/psychic space so we can focus (very practical-action-steps capricorn). it’s a win-win. note: if you are donating items to survivors of tragedy, i think it’s nice to give them the good stuff—they need it more than we do!
dhanishtha (see yesterday’s post for shravana) brings a lesson about feeling truly, wholely (holy?!), completely, magnificently wealthy, about how to be in the flow of abundance, of knowing that if we are aligned with the divine forces of nature & the cosmos, we will be provided for, we will have all we need. & do i need to say that that isn’t more pots & pans or blankets than we can actually use?
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waxing moon, which means we may feel stymied at some point, but we got to practice being flexible yesterday, so we should be able to handle it. like, if the mountain gear shop says it can’t take any more donations for fire survivors, we get to find another way to donate our stuff.
mercury, who is an information hound, owns wednesday. mercury definitely does not think ignorance is bliss. he thinks ignorance, not wanting to know, is, well, ignorant. if we aren’t interested in the truth, don’t know the truth, we can’t be aware. if we’re not aware, we can’t own our sovereignty—we will remain at the mercy of other people’s power … forever.
