it’s friday, january 5, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati. after we get our life organized & upleveled in virgo, we are ready to bust outta da house & socialize in libra—for libra vibrates with the frequency of our relationships, all of them, all kinds, whether romantic, platonic, familial, or business, whether casual or serious, fleeting or committed. humans are relational beings—we desire connection, & it is through our connections that we understand who we are. as each relationship serves as a mirror, the question we get to ponder is how to get past our perceptions to see the true other & our true self.

swati is ruled by vayu, the god of the wind & hanuman’s dad. this asterism gives the power to scatter like the wind, so it’s a good day for travel or to, say, send out an email campaign. but/& it’s also good to remember the value of focusing our wind power, our prana, our energy, so that it isn’t dissipated in all directions. to harness our inner hanuman, who was able, b/c of his single-pointed devotion to rama, to feel the wind at his back & achieve more than he could have ever imagined. how else could he have, in one leap, made it across the sea to lanka to save sita? what might you accomplish today by focusing your prana, your precious energy? what are you single-pointedly devoted to?
it’s the ninth lunar day (tithi), the ninth phase of the waning moon, which, as i mentioned yesterday, calls in the energy & support of the nagas—those cosmic serpents who help us transform emotional & existential anguish into wisdom. so, yeah, today could be challenging, but only as challenging as we let it, only if we resist rather than explore. in which case, we got this!
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love & relationships & other earthly juiciness, who is also the planetary ruler of libra. sooooo, after dealing with our emotional turmoil, if it arises, we will be ready to do something we love with the one(s) we love, for friday is considered vedic date night. what might that look like for you? what’s your heart’s desire?
