it’s friday, january 7, & moon moves from aquarius into pisces around noon my time, while being transported & supported by the starspace called purvabhadra. while aquarius vibrates with the frequency of wanting to make a contribution to the world, pisces vibrates with otherworldliness. under the sway of pisces, we are “been there, done that” with material existence, know there is something beyond this world & want to experience whatever that might be.

purvabhadra brings a lesson about being able to recognize the otherworldly lightning flash of inspiration when it appears & being able to seize that moment. bhadra means “auspicious,” but it’s up to us whether we realize the auspiciousness, the extraordinariness, of the moment for what it is.

adrian fisher was 28 in 1980 & working for a multinational manufacturing company in productivity enhancement (whatever that is!) but jonesing to design mazes when the newly enthroned archbishop of canterbury shared in his first sermon a dream about a maze, which he saw as a metaphor for the state of the church then. fisher saw that lightning flash & ran with it, writing a letter to the times about the history of the maze as a symbol of christianity, which resulted in his first public commission. & so his a-mazing (sorry, couldn’t help it) new career was set in motion.

how many times have you, when that dazzling light of inspiration flashes before you, do you avert your gaze or say, “naw, i can never do that,” without even trying? what a huge loss to the world & to fisher himself if he had said that. what a huge loss to to ourselves, & maybe the world, if we don’t honor divine inspiration.

it’s the sixth lunar day, the sixth phase of the waxing moon, so we get to celebrate our victories today. you get to decide what’s worth celebrating, but do celebrate, do applaud your efforts!

friday is ruled by venus, who is our ability to love, to be in relationship, to appreciate beauty, to, basically, enjoy our embodied existence. with venus retrograde now, the time is ripe for us to do our inner love work, our self-love work, b/c we can only love others & appreciate the sensory delights surrounding us if we can love & appreciate ourselves, accept ourselves, celebrate ourselves. we get to put our own oxygen masks on first … if you know what i mean.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
