it’s monday, july 10, & moon moved from pisces into aries just after sunrise, from the starspace called revati into the starspace called ashwini. if you were up before sunrise, as i always am, maybe you felt that liminal space hard, that in between, that neither here- nor there-ness. it can feel like not being able to wake from a dream. as i’ve mentioned before, that juncture between a watery planet (pisces in this case) & a fiery one (aries) is called a gandanta (it’s a karmic knot) & is unsupported (revati ends where pisces does, ashwini begins where aries does)—planets have to basically leap without a net over the border between signs—so if your consciousness felt a little whoozy early this morning that’s why.
pisces vibrates with the frequency of endings, aries with beginnings, kinda like dying (which is what the dream state is) & being born (waking up). aries is the first sign of the natural zodiac & represents our starting again, just as each day we get to start again, invent or reinvent ourselves, are reborn again. the quality of our waking determines the quality of our day. it can be helpful to take a few moments before we jump out of bed to feel how we’re feeling & decide how we want to feel, be mindful about our state of mind & shift it if necessary.
revati is ruled by pushan, the cosmic shepherd, who leads us (& other lost animals!) home, helps us complete our journey. ashwini is ruled by the ashwin kumara, the twin horse gods who charge ahead like all get-out. it’s a good day to reflect on where we’ve traveled as the moon traveled through the zodiac in the past 30 days & make a plan for how we want to begin again, rein our horses in, wrest control over our energy & direct it so it doesn’t direct us, run wild.
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waning moon, which means we are supported in processing any toxicity that arose in the gandanta, fiercely transforming any emotional gunk that surfaced into wisdom.
monday is ruled by the moon, who gives us the desire & power to connect. like every planet, the moon lives within us. “there is a moon inside every human being,” wrote rumi. “learn to be companions with it.” do feel into your power to connect today!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
