it’s monday, july 12, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha, until midafternoon, when it moves into leo & the starspace called magha. as the moon traverses the “border” between motherly, queenly cancer & fatherly, kingly leo, it has to do so without the support of a starry bridge. it’s like walking the high high high high wire without a net, just in case—we may not need it, but we do feel safer knowing it’s there. moon is our mind, our consciousness, so do, um, mind your mind this afternoon; give it space, time to make the transition, be aware that it might feel unstable, & wait it out.
ashlesha brings serpent energy & the lessons the come from what we wrap ourselves around & squeeze tight, sometimes to the point of squeezing the life out of, like zombie boa constrictors! if you are clinging to thoughts or emotions or people or situations that have no life left in them, that make you feel less alive rather than more, it’s time to wake the “f” up from your zombie slumber & let the “f” go of them!
it’s the third lunar day, the third phase of the waxing moon, which invites us to embrace change, be flexible, be open to solutions other than the ones we are entertaining.

fyi: i am off to crestone for a wee bit. while it is a vortex of global spiritual energy—with zen, buddhist, hindu sanctuaries & more inhabiting its mere 247 acres—wifi energy may not be part of the vortex at the former carmelite monastery where a friend has invited me to stay. so if you don’t hear from me until thursday, that’s why.
