daily blissit’s sunday, july 21, & moon is in the starspace called purvabhadra—the first three-quarters occupy aquarius; the last quarter occupies pisces. while the moon is in aquarius we are inclined toward being in service to humanity, toward responsibility to making the world a better place; in pisces we are pulled to let go of the world, the world of materialism, to transcend it. moon moves into pisces around 4pm mountain time today, so notice whether your focus on worldly (i.e., social, political, cultural) evolution doesn’t shift toward the spiritual.

the ruling deity of this asterism is aja ekapada, the one-footed goat, who is self-sustaining & infinitely creative in that it seems to produce milk from nothing. the energy of this nakshatra likewise invites us to connect to that which is infinite, to find a sense of peace within that is unconditioned, that doesn’t depend on what others think or how we look, where we let go of expectations & beating ourselves up for falling short of them.

for example, i have a friend who makes incredible art but who hasn’t felt successful b/c she hasn’t sold as much work as others, hasn’t consistently had her work shown in galleries, etc. well, she finally let go of her self-value being dependent on comparison to others & decided that she loves making art & that that’s plenty & so that’s what she’s just going to do, regardless. & guess what? no sooner had she found that peace within herself than she was invited to do an installation at a local museum & to be in a prestigious show!!! look what happens when you realize that you are, indeed, as self-sustaining & perpetuating as a goat, the source & the expression of all that matters, of the infinite creative essence of the universe!

it’s the fifth phase of the waxing moon, which has to do with creativity & healing, &, um, maybe healing creativity—b/c i for one find creativity healing.

& that’s your daily bliss—sunday is, of course, the sun’s day. if you’re in boulder, i advise getting out in it before the blessed afternoon rains come. if you’re somewhere else, i hope the sun isn’t melting you.
