daily blissit’s thursday, july 25, & moon is in the starspace called bharani, which occupies real estate in aries. aries brings passion & enthusiasm, the desire to make things happen. bharani is the shakti to the shiva of yesterday’s ashwini nakshatra, what allows the seed of passion & enthusiasm to unfold, become manifest. bharani provides a channel through which that energy can flow.

as a channel for the effusion of creative potential, bharani is, perhaps not surprisingly, symbolized by the yoni, the female reproductive organ—i mean, isn’t another being the ultimate expression of creativity? what else looks like a yoni & facilitates the flow of energy? the arghya (ok, you need to stretch your imagination a tad!), which is a chalice used for pouring water on murtis (statues of deities), the conduit or channel for offering an oblation to the gods, for literally allowing your devotion to flow over the divine.

bharani is ruled by the deity yama, known as the god of death. he’s here to remind us that our passions have consequences. if those horses of desire ran amok yesterday, hopefully you learned a lesson about better channeling your energy & will do better today. hey, what’s a day without a lesson?

it’s the ninth phase of the waning moon, highlighting serpent energy, which is connected to our emotional depths, our shadow. so let us bear* that in mind & remember that we are here to transform, to use whatever means possible to do so, so why not transform toxic emotions into an elixir for our awakening rather than allowing ourselves to be boa-constrictored by them?

& that’s your daily bliss—thursday is ruled by jupiter, who brings the teachings of all the wisdom traditions to give us hope, so we can better align with our highest purpose, so that we can be channels through which the divine can flow like water.

p.s. jyotish, vedic astrology, is the science of light. if you want to shine more light on your life, contact me for a session! ~.~

*omg, i just realized that bharani means “to bear,” as in, bearing the consequences of our actions!
