it’s sunday, july 26, & moon is in the starspace called chitra. chitra is the starry bridge between virgo, where moon is this morning, & libra, where moon is starting around noonish. under the sway of virgo we took care of the details of our life so that under the sway of libra, we are ready to be social. the house is cleaned & are looking forward to having people over, if we’ve got enough socially distanced outdoor space, or organizing a picnic dinner in the park or afternoon hangout along the creek.
chitra is ruled by tvastar, the divine architect, who takes the skills of virgo to the next level, to create something that’s useful & beautiful. ultimately, the most useful & beautiful thing we can create is ourself, & it’s not easy b/c of all the false & limiting beliefs that have conditioned our perception of who we are & who we can be for pretty much all the years we’ve been alive. abby stein was raised not just as an ultra-orthodox jew, but in the very insular hasidic community in williamsburg, ny. she struggled for twenty years against the constraints of that culture, repressed her true nature, until she couldn’t anymore, until the truth of her soul’s essence was the loudest voice in her head. in becoming who she was meant to be, in becoming eve, she had to let go of not only her identity as a hasidic jew, & a rabbi at that, but also her identity as a man, to boldly go where no one in her community had ever dared to go. what are you willing to let go of to be all that you can be, all that you are meant to be? discuss with yourself!
it’s the seventh phase of the waxing moon, which is associated with lord indra, the king of the gods. it’s a good day to strut about your realm, literally or metaphorically, enjoy all that is in your control to enjoy, all that you have created.
sunday is the sun’s day, so do get outside & feel those rays if you can, do feel the power of having a body meant for strutting.
