it’s tuesday, july 26, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace called ardra. while in western astrology the symbol of gemini is twins, in vedic astrology it’s a male & female couple, which represents our dual nature, our embodiment of the divine masculine & divine feminine, our innate desire & ability to see all angles of issues, all points of view, to investigate all relevant data so we can get to the truth, b/c truth is the place from which we want to live, right?

ardra means “wet”—wet like tears, raindrops, storms—& is ruled by rudra, who brings the stormy energy of transformation & whose name is derived from the sanskrit verb that means “to howl.” just as nature’s storms are purifying, so are our inner storms, which we must weather if we want to transform. &, yes, we get to kick & scream, howl if we want to during the process—do whatever we need to do to get it out out out.
according to the rules of panchanga, it is technically still the thirteenth lunar day, b/c that’s the phase moon was in at sunrise, but i’m calling the fourteenth, b/c that’s where moon is as i write. the fourteenth phase of the waning moon means we’ve got a new moon in the near future, which means thursday in this case. we can never prepare too much for a new moon (more on that tomorrow) & the new moon will be in cancer, which is all about our heart, which can be a hard place for some people to go, to trust, so i’m giving you lots of lead time to start clearing space around yours, to start letting go of whatever is obfuscating your heart energy, your heart knowing, creating limiting beliefs about being able to trust what you feel.
tuesday is ruled by mars, who gives us courage to fight the good fight. the key is to make sure we’re fighting our own demons not projecting our sh%t onto others & turning them into demons. with mars getting hot & bothered by rahu now, we get to be especially mindful not to get hot & bothered & rage against others.
