it’s wednesday, july 26, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called swati until early afternoon, then vishakha. the environment of libra is all relationships all the time—& we’re talking mutually beneficial relationships, ones in which each person uplevels the other, serves as a mirror to actualize the other even more. how do you know if your relationship is helping you grow or not? according to annie lalla, love coach extraordinaire, when your partner complains, gives you feedback/offers reflections about your behavior, or expresses the desire for you to be different, you get to ask yourself whether if you took on the upgrade your partner is asking for would that make you into a version of yourself that you’d admire even more? if the answer is yes, your partner is actually doing their job. &, of course, in a mutually beneficial relationship, it works both ways. what are you each mirroring for each other? (btw: i’m pretty sure you can apply this calculus to relationships of all kinds, not just romantic.)
swati (whoops, i was really zonked out yesterday morn & skipped over swati’s afternoon appearance, probs b/c my inner winds were deranged from lack of sleep—apologies!) is ruled by vayu, lord of the winds, who was hanuman’s dad. hanuman def had the superpower of controlling his inner winds, focusing his prana on one heroic task after another. how else could he have leapt over an ocean & rescued sita from the demon ravana?! do follow hanuman’s lead today & focus your precious faculties of attention & intention so you can achieve what you mean to. vishakha is the fork in the road between the spiritual & the material (please see yesterday’s post for more!), but it doesn’t have to be; for most of us it’s both &—the material supports our spirituality & the spiritual gives meaning to our material existence.
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which supports our serpent-like ability to delve into our shadow, or the shadowy events & people in our lives, & extract the pearls of wisdom, to transform poisons into nectar.
wednesday is owned by mercury, planet of communication & discriminating intelligence, not necessarily in that order. in fact, it’s probs usually best to discriminate before we communicate, not just share every thought that pops into our head, right?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
