it’s tuesday, july 28, & moon is in the starspace called vishakha, which is mostly in libra but partly in scorpio. moon is in the libra portion until midafternoon, then moves into scorpio. under the sway of libra we engage with others, we pursue relationships of all sorts, which can lead to emotional vulnerabilities or confusion in scorpio. notice how your consciousness shifts this afternoon, if it does. then you can begin to ponder what’s real & what’s imagined—it can be hard to tell under the sway of scorpio.
vishakha is the only asterism ruled by two deities, & not just any two, but indra & agni, lightning & fire, the king & the priest, two of the most celebrated deities in the rig veda, incarnations of protection. the king holds political power, the priest spiritual power; together they give us the ability to fulfill our duty righteously, to do our dharma. the symbol of vishakha is the triumphal arch & the shakti brings success, supports us in being victorious in our battles, in conquering, vanquishing, our foes, in winning competitions. if, say, your name is emily & you are sitting the bar today (!), know that indra & agni have your back, that you’ve got all the wisdom & insight to get ‘er done. offer up to them! trust! harness your inner indra & agni!
it’s the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which is associated with serpent energy, which can be toxic or transformative, depending on how big the dose, depending on your own degree of awareness & receptivity.
tuesday is owned by mars, who is, at his highest, most intelligent, expression our inner spiritual warrior. as he is still hanging out in pisces, which is very otherworldly, this is a good day to use his innate courage, your innate courage, to pursue elevated goals, to deepen your evolution, your connection to the truth of who you are, of what life is. as ram dass said, “the game is not about becoming somebody, it’s about becoming nobody.” how’s that going for you?
