it’s friday, july 28, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called anuradha until early afternoon, then jyeshtha. under the sway of scorpio we can become our own worst enemies, as we can succumb to the sign’s emotionally dark, choppy waters & let our fears & limiting beliefs, our irrational stories, rule us. but/& scorpio is ruled by mars, our warrior spirit, who vanquishes enemies, our inner demons. “god said, ‘love your enemy.’ & i obeyed & loved myself,” wrote kahlil gibran. in the tantric tradition, all is divine, all is god, all is love—the good, the bad & the ugly. when we can accept & even love the parts of ourselves we don’t think are worth loving, that we’re afraid for others to see, they lose their power over us, we lose our fear of them. our humanity, in all of its glorious complexity, is all divine all the time. we are none of us perfectly perfect, whatever that means, but our beauty, & that of others, lies in our imperfect perfection.

anuradha (see yesterday’s post for more) is ruled by mitra, the divine friend, & brings a lesson about treating all of our friends as if they were divine, as if they were god herself, b/c, um, as i just said, all is divine, right? jyeshtha is ruled by indra & brings a lesson about treating all those we wield power over like a benefic elder, like one who keeps the interests of those younger &/or less experienced foremost, not their own ego, sense of power.

it’s the eleventh lunar day, the eleventh phase of the waxing moon, which supports spiritual practices like fasting & meditation. “in meditation we close our eyes & put our attention on the inner world of thoughts & feelings,” writes dr. joe dispenza. “we become conscious of any limiting beliefs so they never slip by our awareness again … & experience the feelings of our future self. & yet, the real beauty of meditation happens when we practice with our eyes open. throughout our waking day, we can demonstrate what it means to live in love, joy, health & wholeness—to become a leader, & emerge as a living example of this work.” can you make your life a waking meditation?

friday is ruled by venus, planet of love, who invites us to see the world through the eyes of love, including our shadow & the shadows of those we love.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
