daily blissit’s tuesday, july 30, & moon is in the starspace called punarvasu. while most of this asterism is in gemini, the last three-ish degrees are in cancer. so you will be under the sway of gemini’s intellectual curiosity & playfulness until the stars come out tonight, at which point you (or your dreams, if, like me, you’ll be asleep!) may be infused with the tenderness of unconditional love.

punar means “again,” as in returning, coming again; vasu means “a ray of light.” it suggests the return of the light, renewed vigor & vitality, our inner sun coming out again, after the storms of ardra. punarvasu is ruled by aditi, the divine mother, who is absolute, unconditional, limitless love, the love that expresses itself everywhere & in everything, the love that knows no bounds. & love, true love, is boundless, isn’t it? can you ever love enough? can your well of love ever be dry?

yesterday i was on the phone ordering thank-you chocolates to send to the nurses who took such loving care of my mom for the ten days she was in the hospital recently. when i was dictating the card to the customer service representative & trying to figure out how to sign, i asked her if signing “love” would be too weird, too personal. & she said, “i don’t think people use that word enough!” & we both agreed that we all need to do our best to spread love around every which way we can.

the more you give of something, the more you’ll have to give & the more you’ll receive, be able to receive. how can you channel that divine mother energy today? whom can you shower with unconditional love & acceptance?

it’s the fourteenth phase of the waning moon, so you may be feeling depleted emotionally; be gentle with yourself (& others). & in preparation for the new moon, you may want to ponder what you want to let go of before the new cycle begins, on thursday.
