daily blissit’s wednesday, july 31, & moon is floating in the selfless, motherly waters of cancer, in the starspace called pushya.

i love saying “pushya,” b/c it sounds, at least to me, like what it means: “to nourish,” “to thrive.” what makes you feel nourished & how can you offer that nourishment to help others thrive the way a mother selflessly suckles her young?

the symbol of pushya is the flower, which expresses its beauty out into the world but doesn’t know it is beautiful. it gives beauty without asking for anything in return. what’s your favorite flower? do you see yourself, for example, as a rose? (thorns be damned!) do you recognize your own strengths, your own gifts, your own beauty? are you able to share them selflessly, effortlessly, from a place of abundance, like ever-flowing maternal love?

today is the dark moon, the last phase of the waning moon. it can’t wane any more. & the moon in us can’t either, so we may feel especially drained emotionally & mentally, which makes it a perfect day to go within, take some time out to meditate on what we want to call in during the next lunar cycle, which begins later tonight. hint: the theme will be unconditional love—what part of your life needs more of that?

& that’s your daily bliss—wednesday is owned by mercury, who goes direct today, which means he’s moving forward, which means that you, too, can move forward, feel a burst of momentum, catch a tail wind, with projects involving communication or technology or intellectual curiosity, maybe work- or pleasure-related travel. if you’ve been using his retrograde period the past month to ponder, rethink, these areas of life, hopefully you’re ready to take action steps, so go while the going is good!
