daily blissit’s thursday, july 4 (happy incarnation day, america!), & moon is in the nourishing waters of cancer in the starspace called pushya. cancer encourages us to connect to our heart, to the flow of love, which is unconditional, like a mother’s.

pushya actually means “to nourish” or “thrive” & one symbol associated with it is the teats of a cow, the means of suckling, nourishing, offspring, helping them to thrive. people born under this star are inclined to want to nourish everyone & everything around them, to create the conditions for the world at large to thrive. do you appreciate all your mother did for you, all the sacrifices she made for you, however perfectly or imperfectly? it’s a good day to show your gratitude, in your heart if not out loud with words spoken to her.

did you know that mother octopi die after giving birth, that they literally give their lives for their offspring? (papa octopi die, too, but not for several months.) their whole reason for being is to reproduce. once the female lays her eggs, her whole focus is her younguns. she doesn’t eat, she just blows currents across the eggs to keep them clean and protects them from predators. after the eggs hatch, she expires—talk about being willing to lay your life down for your kiddos!

soooooo, whom do you love unconditionally? who loves you unconditionally? how can you connect to source, which is pure love? love is not an emotion, it’s a flow. how can you step more fully into it?

it’s the third phase of the waxing moon, which makes it a good day for embracing change & variety, being open to new options.

& that’s your daily bliss—thursday is ruled by jupiter, who represents our highest purpose, principles that keep us vibrating at our highest frequency. on this day, the birthday of our country, which was established with the high principles & purpose of the constitution (however flawed in concept & execution & vision), a container meant (ditto flaws) to create the conditions for everyone to thrive, everyone to know freedom & happiness, under which everyone is bound by laws, our president & his cohort think they are above the law, above supreme court rulings. are we all going to have to boycott the 2020 census or black out an unconstitutional question about citizenship?! this is sooooo not what the framers had in mind! sorry, couldn’t help myself.
