it’s tuesday, july 7, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called shravana until about noon-thirty mountain time, at which point it moves into dhanishtha. dhanishtha straddles capricorn & aquarius, but moon won’t move into the aquarius portion until after midnight. soooooo, we are still under the sway of capricorn all day. capricorn is ambitious & its ruler, saturn, is in it for the long haul, has the discipline & perseverance to go the distance. how can you use this energy to further your personal goals? how can you channel saturn’s patience & focus?
shravana, as i mentioned yesterday (see yesterday’s post for more), is about deep listening, about listening so deeply that we can hear the truth within. dhanishtha means “to be completely wealthy,” to be wealthy in body, mind & soul.
“our greatest wealth is the remembrance of who we really are,” said shyamdas, who was a krishna devotee & practitioner-scholar. he spent most of his time in india with his guru, but shared his guru’s wisdom with all of us through the many, many books he wrote on bhakti yoga & the path of grace, &, if for the lucky ones, including me a couple of times, in person at satsangs or at chant-fests. shyamdas exuded the joy that comes from deep knowing, & if he said it, i believe it.
it’s the third lunar day, which invites us to be flexible, adjust our schedule or our ideas, our notions of how something has to be done, be open to other solutions. maybe, like me, you just realized that tax day, july 15, is only eight days away & you have to rejigger your today (& maybe your tomorrow & day after tomorrow) to get that chore done. yikes!
tuesday is owned by mars, who is our courage &, when vibrating at his highest frequency, is the most badass spiritual warrior in the cosmo, & so are we. it’s a good day to go high.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. the moon is our consciousness & i hope that by unpacking the cosmic forces influencing it every day, you’ll be better able to understand & thus lean into its ever-changing vibrations & use them to your advantage.
