it’s wednesday, june 15, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called purvashadha. in the environment of fiery jupiter-ruled sagittarius, we get sparks (or, hey, bonfires!) of inspiration, insights that give us perspective on the big picture of our life, on how everything is unfolding in support of what’s highest in us. it’s also where we are willing to question our belief systems & adjust them accordingly. we all need to believe something, believe in something. we get to ask whether our beliefs are taking us closer to or further away from spirit, from our essential nature.
purvashadha brings a lesson about planting karmic seeds. according to vedic wisdom, there are three kinds of karma: sanchitta karma is the storehouse of all of our past actions, from this lifetime & previous lifetimes; prarabdha karma is the karma we are experiencing now, the karmic seeds that have already ripened & manifested as who we are & the life we are living; agami karma is our future karma, the seeds we plant today through our actions & will experience tomorrow.
all karma starts as a thought. what we do with that thought, whether we turn it into words & then actions, is up to us. we don’t have any control over the karma that is playing out in our lives now, but we do have control over which seeds we plant now.
since sagittarius is represented by an archer, we can think of sanchitta karma as a quiver of arrows, agami as the arrow ready to be let loose & prarabdha karma as the already-loosed arrows. how’s your self-control? how’s your aim? a steady aim entails present-moment awareness. it is through awareness that we can control the seeds/arrows we scatter or not, whether we keep our arrows in our quiver or not.
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waning moon, which supports creativity that sustains our life, like, say, beautifying our vegetable garden or cooking up a large vat of something so we can freeze some for later or building bookshelves. you get the idea, right?
wednesday is ruled by mercury, making it a good day for writing, collaborating, networking, getting your word(s) out. hit “send” on newsletters & emails. connect with people who can uplevel your projects. give a shoutout to your offerings on social media.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
