it’s thursday, june 15, & moon is moving from aries into taurus as i write, being supported & transported by the starspace called krittika. this shift is one from the doing-doing-doing of aries into the being-being-being of taurus; for taurus vibrates with the cozy frequency of being content with all that we’ve created, all that we have, not needing more. fyi: contentment comes from within, is not dependent on external circumstances, is unconditional. how are you doing with that? are you still looking “out there,” still seeking something else to do it for you? more on that tomorrow!

moon isn’t the only luminary moving signs today. sun, who has been ensconced in taurus for the past month, is settling into his new digs in gemini. since sun is our soul(ar) battery, we may not feel fully charged, so we get to cut ourselves some slack, lower our expectations, especially material, external, physical ones.

krittika is ruled by agni, the primordial god of fire, & gives us the power to burn & to purify. the word “krittika” comes from the sanskrit verb kṛt (कृत्), which means “to cut,” as in away. this asterism supports us in canceling-clearing-deleting negativity, our limiting beliefs, like, for example, that our happiness comes from how much stuff we have, that if we only work harder or better we can buy a bigger house or newer car or fancier clothes & then, finally, we’ll be happy. yeah, not so much, right?!

it’s the thirteenth lunar day, the thirteenth phase of the waning moon, which is related to kamadeva, the hindu equivalent of cupid. think desire! think happiness! think in-joying other people! given moon’s placement in cozy taurus & sun being on the move, it’s a great good day to kick back, if possible—& 100% is possible 100% of the time!—& do what you enjoy, as opposed to doing to be productive, with the ones you love being with.

thursday is infused with the expansive quality of jupiter. did you know that each planet is associated with, kinda-sorta gave birth to, one of the incarnations of vishnu? well, now you do! anyhoo, from jupiter came vamana, the fifth incarnation of vishnu. vamana was a very small person (aka, dwarf, but they didn’t know from political correctness in vedic times!), but when he was granted all the land he could cover with three footsteps, he expanded into such hugeness that his footsteps covered all the worlds & then some. how can you step into your bigness today?

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
