it’s monday, june 17, & moon is in the starspace of mula in the zodiac sign of sagittarius. sagittarius is where we feel the guru’s grace, the upliftment when we align with something beyond ourselves, with our dharma, our offering to & in the world.
mula means “root,” & its energy invites us to uproot what doesn’t serve our soul purpose, to get to the root of our obstacles/problems, whatever is standing in the way of being all that we can & are meant to be. note to self: those problems are not “out there”! we are the source & the solution!
mula is ruled by the goddess niritti, who guides us to destroy the darkness, the negativity, the suck downward, in our lives, so that we can step into the light, into our light, so that we can be the light. our goal is to move into greater alignment with our integrity, find the answers we are seeking in our spiritual beliefs (thanks to sagittarius energy), not use them to bypass.
the moon was full in mula while we in the west were sleeping, which means that mula energy is relevant not just for today but for the entire waning cycle of the moon. the waning cycle is about releasing, so that underscores mula’s shakti about uprooting, weeding, pruning. the trick here is to make sure we don’t over prune, throw the baby out with the bathwater, so to speak, that we don’t accidentally uproot so much that we have no foundation left, that we become destabilized, topple over like a rootless tree. we want to get out the pruning shears, not the chain saw!
it’s the first phase of the waxing moon, which, perhaps not surprisingly, has to do with new beginnings, so a great good day to start a new project, to be creative somehow or some way.
& that’s your daily bliss—monday is the moon’s day & moon wants us to move through the world by connecting to our heart energy, wants us to know what is true & what matters b/c our heart tells us it is so.
