it’s wednesday, june 21, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, which we all have, regardless of gender. how can you tap into the receptive, reflective, unconditionally loving aspects of your essence today?
it’s also summer solstice (aka “hippie xmas,” according to russell brand!) in the north, which we know about thanks to stonehenge, & international yoga day the world over, so a perfect day to catch some external rays &/or honor the sun by getting with some surya namaskars (sun salutations). how can you show your gratitude to the sun for always burning bright, giving you vitality & uplifting & inspiring you, providing you with vision?
pushya (see yesterday’s post for more) brings a lesson about what & how we nurture, whether a pure thing with purity or not. just as a baby’s growth depends on whether s/he/they is fed organic, wholesome food & ideas, so is what we want to manifest in the world.
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waxing moon, which means we might be feeling a tad weighed down, feeling obstacled (is that a verb? well, it is now!). what to do? try to get out from under whatever by seeing it as a challenge, by getting a good running start & leaping over the hurdle.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, whose mantra might be “the truth will set you free” & who is, you might say, the ur investigative journalist, unbiased, unagenda’d, unbought, the way journalists & their vehicle, the press, used to be, & who would never be charged with a crime, as has julian assange, just for doing his freaking job, for upholding the people’s right to know. daniel ellsberg, who was julian’s sorta forebear, revealed the duplicity of the u.s. government, how it was talking out both sides of its mouth—one side in public, one in private—regarding the vietnam war, & the new york times & wash post jointly & bravely published what he uncovered, aka “the pentagon papers.” ellsberg, who passed on the 16th, called for julian’s release in 2019 & has never wavered in his plea. people, julian is not even an american citizen, so wtf is going on? why isn’t the press taking a knee?! why doesn’t the press realize it has got a dog in this fight, that if julian (whose sun is in, yes, gemini, ruled by mercury!) goes down, it is going with him?! where is its courage now?
