it’s thursday, june 29, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called vishakha. venus, planet of love & other earthly delights, rules libra, & libra is an air sign. air is about exchanging, giving & taking, & libra is the sign of the merchant, the one who sells goods for a fair price, in which the giving & taking is equitable, mutually beneficial. that’s the way libra wants all of our relationships, all of our agreements with people, to be. under the sway of libra we get to realize that some people won’t love us no matter what we do & some people won’t stop loving us no matter what we do, that we don’t need to try harder than the other party. venus wants us to be in the flow of love, in the flow of what’s loving to both (all) parties. how’s that going?
vishakha is the only asterism that double-dips when it comes to deities—it is ruled by both indra (the king) & agni (the priest) & brings a lesson about aligning the material & the spiritual in our lives, for there to be a mutually beneficial (!) relationship between them; for if we don’t have money to pay our bills, it’s hard to meditate, connect to the divine, & without a divinely inspired purpose for our lives … meh, right?!
it’s the eleventh lunar day, the eleventh phase of the waxing moon, so, ya know, get your spiritual practices on today, people—fast, meditate, pull back from the world & connect to your essence however you can.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who is filled with & fills us with hope. “the world depends on every one of us to tip the scales toward hope & personal responsibility,” says charles eisenstein, mr. hopeful & responsible himself, who believes that a more beautiful world is possible & is doing everything in his power to make it so. you know what gandhi said—be the change you want to see in the world. what are you doing to be the change, to create a more beautiful world? what gives you hope that it’s possible? yes, it can seem like a sisyphean task, but people like charles—& there are a lot of people like him!—give me hope. even if for every two steps forward it can sometimes feel like we’re taking one backward, we are still making progress!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
