daily bliss klimkinit’s sunday, june 2, & moon is in its happy place, in taurus. this is where moon, our mental-emotional body, feels grounded, feels cozy, feels a sense of ease, of balance. what gives you that cozy feeling—being curled up in bed with a good book (might i recommend “the old drift”?), tea & a fire blazing? sitting in front of a fire with a delicious glass of zin after a killer day of skiing? a candle-lit bubble bath with your honey?

fire is key here, b/c this morning moon is in the starspace called krittika, which is ruled by agni, the god of fire, who was the first form of the sun. krittika = “krit” (to cut/divide) + “tika” (challenge), sun = purification; thus, the energy, the shakti, of this starspace (nakshatra) invites us to, challenges us to, get rid of the impurities in our life, that which doesn’t serve. yes, an everyday process/project for sure, but we have lots of support to get ‘er done this morning.

around 1 pm mountain time moon moves into the starspace of taurus called rohini. rohini is considered the favorite wife of the moon (moon has 27 wives, which are the 27 nakshatras) & thus brings a different kind of fire—for love, passion, fertile & creative sexual energy. but the fire can get out of control here, as rohini doesn’t like limits, so make sure to tend your fire, keep that fire screen tight, don’t singe anyone with the flames of your creativity!

it’s the 15th lunar day (tithi), which is called amavasya b/c it’s the dark moon, the last phase of the waning moon (which becomes the new moon), which means that we may be feeling drained emotionally. but that’s ok, b/c that emptiness creates space for us to fill up again. more on that tomorrow!
