it’s thursday, june 30, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called punarvasu until midafternoon, then in pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine feminine, the divine mother, the shakti that created & continues to create & inform the universe. she is “the love behind life’s energy that pulsates inside & outside us,” as bhagavan das has so lusciously elucidated. “she is the table upon which we lay our hand. divine mother is our hand; she is our fingers. she is the body of all creation. the divine mother breathes us, & we are her breath.
“she is manifested in everything but most focused in women.”
when we deny the divine feminine, try to squash & control it, deny it agency, choice, we deny love, the creative force of all that is, we deny life itself & create suffering for the disempowered feminine.

both punarvasu & pushya are connected to the energy of the divine mother—generous, unconditional, expansive love. while punarvasu (see yesterday’s post for more) brings a lesson about creating life itself, manifesting, pushya brings a lesson about nourishing, fostering, encouraging life once it comes into being. whatever we nourish will grow. whatever we nourish it with will determine how it grows, what it becomes. what are you bringing into life & are you nourishing it in a way that is in alignment with your highest vision for it?
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waxing moon, which is related to, yes, more creative energy, the kind, not unlike pushya’s, that sustains our life on earth, makes it cozy & comfy.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who connects us to the wisdom teachings & teachers that inspire us, give us faith, especially the faith to keep on going even if we don’t know exactly where we’re headed, which, let’s face it, is probably how we’re rolling 99.9 percent of the time. for, as carl jung said, “if the path before you is clear, you’re probably on someone else’s”!
