it’s friday, june 3, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya. cancer vibrates with the frequency of the divine mother, the goddess, shakti, which informs everything in our world.
“the divine mother will manifest herself to us through our devotion. the bird will sit on our windowsill at the right moment & sing us the right song. it works that way, with the mother. all the other gods have abodes. vishnu has vaikuntha, shiva lives in kailash, but the divine mother has no abode. her abode is the world; she dwells within the heart.”—baba bhagavan das, in “it’s here now (are you?)”
if you are not seeing the miracles around you every day, maybe you’re not connected to the source of all that is, to love, the mother. no judgment, just an invitation to surrender to her & see what happens!
pushya means “nourisher” & represents the power of divine feminine energy, the goddess, to provide everything we require to blossom & grow, just as a mother provides all the nourishment her baby needs with her milk. this asterism brings a lesson about how & what we are nourishing. where our attention goes, our energy flows, so we are invited to make sure it’s flowing where we mean it to, that what we are nurturing is in our highest interest, in the highest interests of those we love & care about, that we are giving our loving best.
it’s the fourth lunar day, the fourth phase of the waxing moon, which is associated with ganesh, giver & remover of obstacles. don’t be surprised if you come across one or more to circumvent. how about if we see those obstacles as gifts from ganesh to help us evolve? what if we see them as the divine mother herself, who is nothing but love incarnate & wants nothing but what’s most loving for us?
friday is owned by venus, planet of love. “wherever you are, & whatever you do, be in love,” wrote rumi. he wasn’t talking about romantic love, altho nothing wrong with that; he was talking about the presence of the divine within us. he meant that we should embody love, be love itself, be a force of love, be in love with all that is, be an expression of the divine, of the goddess.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
