it’s monday, june 5, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula. after swimming in the deep & deeply personal emotional waters of that full-moon-in-scorpio weekend, we get to pull back & expand our perspective; for in the environment of sagittarius we find our faith—in the benevolence of the universe, in the notion that all is unfolding for our evolution, that there is a reason for what can sometimes feel like madness, that there are bigger forces at play & we don’t have to understand them, just have faith in them. “sorrow looks back. worry looks around. faith looks up,” wrote emerson.
mula means “root” & is ruled by niritti, a particularly fierce form of kali. this asterism invites us to get to the root of what doesn’t serve us, what is causing us to suffer, to not be as effulgent as we can be, & to uproot it. we suffer when we are attached to wanting things or people to be a certain way, to, perhaps, cling to beliefs that aren’t founded in truth. “suffering only shows where you are attached,” wrote ram dass. “that is why, to those on the path, suffering is grace.” yeah, i know—suffering sux, & it doesn’t usually feel like grace! & it takes up humongous quantities of psychic space! our suffering is the weeds in our garden. may we be as fierce, as take no prisoners, as niritti, so we can uproot our suffering & make room in our garden for our blossoming & thriving.
it’s the second lunar day, the second phase of the waning moon, which is connected to lord krishna, who supports us in creating a life based on the values of love & connection.
monday is ruled by the moon, who wants us to connect (like krishna!) so fully & presently with our heart that there’s no room for anything but heart connection.
well, i connected so fully & presently with my loved ones at a gorgeous family wedding in steamboat springs this weekend that that’s def all there is in my heart, so i’m going to leave it here today & grab a quick waterfall hike before i head home!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
