it’s monday, june 6, & moon is in leo, in the starspace called magha. leo vibrates with the frequency of our sovereignty, of having supreme power, controlling influence, authority, dominion over our world. the highest expression of dominion entails responsibility for the welfare of those we have a controlling influence over through even our most subtle actions. what we put out into the world influences it: cruelty begets cruelty, compassion compassion: frowns beget frowns, smiles smiles. we are all powerful, all-powerful. may we use that power well, may we use it to raise the vibration of our immediate worlds, for if we all do, then the world at large will vibrate at its highest frequency—& isn’t that the world we all want to live in?!
magha is ruled by the pitris, our ancestors, & brings a lesson about honoring those who came before us by doing our work & thus healing ancestral karma/trauma. they did the best they could & now we get to do even better.
“pain travels through family lines until someone is ready to heal it in themselves. by going through the agony of healing you no longer pass the poison chalice onto the generations that follow. it is incredibly important & sacred work.”—contemplativemonk.com
only about 1% of the population does their inner work. being able to do so is, yes, a privilege, fo’ sure, but also a choice. it’s ultimately a selfless, not selfish choice, b/c when we heal, we raise our vibration & thus the vibration of the world. may we all be the 1% that gives rather than takes!
it’s the seventh lunar day, the seventh phase of the waxing moon, which is related to lord indra, who was the poster boy, poster god, or perhaps, rather, the inspiration, for the adage “pride goeth before the fall.” it’s a good day to keep our egos in check, let humility reign, remember that we didn’t get here by ourselves, that we stand on the shoulders of all those who came before us & smoothed our path.
monday is owned by the moon, which is the part of us that wants to feel peaceful, that wants everyone to feel peaceful.
“if we want peace, we have to be peace. peace is a practice, not a hope.”—thich nhat hanh
how’s your peace practice going?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
