it’s tuesday, june 7, & moon is in leo, in the starspace called purvaphalguni. in the environment of leo, we embrace our kingly-/queenly-/quingly-ness, our ability to be in our power, be our most authentic selves, lead by example. by embodying our power with humility & inclusivity, we give others permission to do the same thing, be their best selves too, step into their power & pass on that generous message of empowerment. when everyone embodies their best, most authentic, selves, the world will come into alignment with authenticity & integrity as well.
“the world is changed by your example not by your opinion.”—paulo coelho
purvaphalguni brings a lesson about delighting in our earthly existence. after we take responsibility for our own lives & the lives of those we have influence over in the previous nakshatra (magha), feel solid in who we are, fulfill our worldly duties, we can relax & rejuvenate, amuse ourselves with others, rest on our laurels a bit, take time to be in-joy. rest is part of the creative cycle, a way to renew our energy, become newly inspired. we can think of today as an invitation to be lazy for all the best reasons. the gap, doing nothing, is often where inspiration is born. can you think of the creative process as being both active & passive, doing & allowing?
it’s the eighth lunar day, the eighth phase of the waxing moon, which is associated with the eight vasus, or elemental gods, which represent aspects of nature (the five elements) & cosmic natural phenomenon (sun, moon & stars). the vasus are: prithvi (earth), varuna (water), agni (fire), vayu (wind), dyaus (sky/akasha), aditya (sun), chandramas (moon) & nakshatrani (stars). vasu means “brilliance” or “wealth-giver.” it is the elements that are the basis of all life & without the sun & moon there would be no life on earth, no brilliance, no wealth. it’s a good day to tap into your creativity, your ability to generate abundance.
tuesday is owned by mars, our inner spiritual warrior. being a warrior doesn’t mean we aren’t afraid. quite the contrary—it means that we will do what needs doing despite our fears.
“be not afraid of anything. you will do marvelous work. it is fearlessness that brings heaven even in a moment.”—swami vivekananda
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
