it’s wednesday, june 8, & moon is in virgo, in the starspace called uttaraphalguni. virgo vibrates with the frequency of worrying over & attending to the details of our life, all the unsexy chores—like making doctors’ appointments & cleaning out gutters & balancing checkbooks & getting real about uncluttering—that are the bedrock of our life, that keep it functioning, running smoothly.

worrying for virgos, tho, is kind of their superpower. it allows them to secure the borders of their world, create a sense of calm, & thus sort of turn worry on its head.
uttaraphalguni brings a lesson about making agreements, drawing up contracts, that have the best interests of all concerned in mind, that are founded in love, in what is good for the soul, not for the ego. what’s loving for one person is always loving for the other person(s) (even if they might not see it that way in the moment), b/c being in integrity with oneself is clear & kind.
it’s the ninth lunar day, the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which is ruled by the serpent deity sarpa. this energy can be both toxic (think of those venomous fangs) & transformative (serpents are considered harbingers of wisdom). the yoga teacher seane corn likes to say that energy is just vibration with information. it’s up to us how we use this information—whether we cling to its toxicity or use it to transform, evolve. it’s a good day to notice where negativity might be showing up in our lives & whether we are boa-constricting ourselves to it, or whether we can observe & be curious about it, see what insights we can gain about ourselves from it.
wednesday is owned by mercury, who loves to gather & share information, which can happen only if there are no restrictions to doing so, i.e,, if there is no censorship. if i want my opinion to be heard, i get to allow yours to be heard, whether i agree with it or not. i mean, it’s only fair, right? the ever-controversial elon musk put it succinctly, which, i guess, is what twitter necessitates: “free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy.”
