it’s thursday, march 10, & moon moves from taurus to gemini midday while being transported & supported by the starspace called mrigashira. while taurus vibrates with the frequency of wanting to stay put, enjoy what is, gemini vibrates with the frequency of antsyness, of being curious about what else is out there. after resting in taurus, we feel restless in gemini—after all, we can lounge about on an overstuffed couch for only so long. notice whether you feel this shift in consciousness from the morning into the afternoon today, whether you start to feel more activated.
mrigashira is ruled by soma, the magical elixir of immortality that the gods perpetually partied with & that mere mortals have been perpetually seeking for as long as mortals have been mortal. this asterism brings a lesson about looking “out there” to satisfy our craving, that what we crave lies within. & what is our ultimate craving but the craving to know god. as adyashanti said, “the truth is that you already are what you are seeking. you are looking for god with his eyes. i suggest you ask, ‘what’s ultimately behind this set of eyes?’ turn around to see what is looking.”
it’s the eighth lunar day, the eighth phase of the waxing moon, which is ruled by the eight vasus, the eight elemental gods or principles of nature. according to the brihadaranyaka upanishad, they are: prithvi (earth), varuna (water), agni (fire), vayu (wind), aditya (sun), akasha (sky), chandramas (moon), nakshatrani (stars). the vasus give us the power to create, they are the building blocks from which we manifest anything. when we honor the energy of these universal forces, we are in integrity with the cosmos & our success is guaranteed. today is a great good day to manifest whatever you want to as long as it is an expression of your integrity as a cosmic being.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, who is the part of us (all of the planets are alive within us) that believes. the question for today is whether your beliefs & actions are in alignment, whether you are living what you believe, whether your actions are a reflection of what you believe. does your inside match your outside? if not, why?
