it’s wednesday, march 10, & moon is in capricorn, in the starspace called dhanishtha. please see yesterday’s & the day before’s post for the 411 on capricorn—sad to say, i am utterly wiped out after a week of skiing in telluride & the drive home (i know, first world problem!) & my brain is undercaffeinated this morning. doing my best! thank you for understanding!
dhanishtha means “wealthiest,” but the wealthiest isn’t the one with the most money in the bank or bitcoin in the ether; it’s the one who lives the best life, the best life being one created through being aligned with the highest principles of existence, with a focus on fulfilling one’s highest purpose, by being resourceful & committed & charitable & gracious & compassionate. you get the idea! if you’re not feeling abundant & joyful about the life you are creating, it’s a good day to ask yourself where you are out of alignment, how you are sourcing motivation for what you are manifesting, whether you are being true to your true values.
it’s the thirteenth phase of the waning moon, which is connected to kamadeva, the hindu god of love & desire. like cupid, kamadeva wields a bow & arrows, but, unlike cupid, his bow is made of sugarcane & his arrows are decorated with fragrant flowers from mango, jasmine, ashoka, & blue & white lotus trees. it’s a good day to indulge our senses, to taste & smell & touch the sweetness of life, especially, but not necessarily, in the company of the ones we love, to nourish our joy & happiness.
mercury, who is our ability to communicate & use our discriminating intelligence & be curious & flexible, rules wednesday. how can you channel your inner mercury today, put those qualities to use? where will your curiosity lead you? how can you go with the flow without getting bent out of shape? how can you use your words wisely, diplomatically, the most effectively? what new point of interest is calling you to investigate?
