it’s wednesday, march 13, & moon is in aries, in the starspace called bharani. aries is the first sign of the natural zodiac, it’s where we begin, where we incarnate & start to grow, one step at a time, into who we are, individuate ourselves. “to be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest achievement,” said ralph waldo emerson. aries wants us to be “me”—everyone else is taken! it’s also where we begin in general, start new projects, build a business from the ground up. beginning may feel daunting, but “i learnt that the only way to get a thing done is to start to do it, then keep on doing it, & finally you’ll finish it, even if in the beginning you think you can’t do it at all,” wrote langston hughes. mars rules aries & practically demands that we take action, whether it’s a big step forward or a small one. remember: a series of small steps adds up to one giant one.
bharani means “to bear” & is represented by the yoni, the female reproductive organ, which bears children, is the portal through which they come into this world. this asterism reminds us that everything we bring into this world—whether thoughts, words or actions—has consequences & that we bear responsibility for them, get to make amends if need be.
it’s the fourth lunar day (tithi), the fourth phase of the waxing moon, which supports dealing with obstacles. one way to deal with them is to re-envision them, see the upside in the down. like, if you were planning to take a ski day & a winter storm blowing in is going to prevent you from getting to the mountains, you appreciate the gift of staying home & having more time to write & study. sigh.
wednesday is ruled by mercury, who gives us discriminating intelligence (more or less, depending on his strength in our natal chart) & the ability to communicate (more or less, depending). mercury is hanging out these days in pisces, where he is debilitated, where his discriminating intelligence is in the red zone, where he can get lost in fantasy, lose his hold on reality. so we may have trouble separating the real from the unreal when it comes to our thoughts & thus may miscommunicate. good to know, right?!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
