it’s tuesday, march 14, & moon is in scorpio, in the starspace called jyeshtha. in the environment of scorpio we’re like deep sea divers swimming in dark psychic waters. got headlamp? what strange marine creature just darted out of the shadows? scorpio invites us, eventually but inevitably, to be more curious than scared. being curious allows us to be in the inquiry, ask ourselves what we’re so afraid of, what our fear is reflecting back to us. only if we can be with & stare our fear down can we transform it into wisdom, & that is the invitation & gift of scorpio.
jyeshtha means “elder” or “eldest” & reminds us of the power & responsibility that comes from being one. this asterism gives us the ability & courage to rise & conquer, to overcome obstacles & be all we can be … not just for ourselves but for the sake of others, to be true elders, which comes from the respect earned by being in our full integrity, not necessarily with age.
it’s the seventh lunar day until about 9 a.m. MDT, then the eighth. the seventh tithi (lunar phase), like jyeshtha, is ruled by indra, so we’re def working our integrity & humility muscles. the eighth is ruled by the eight vasus, the gunas & elements, which are the building blocks from which all creation is manifested, so do take advantage of the support to work your creativity muscle.
tuesday is ruled by mars, who is our warrior spirit & can be so eager to act that he forgets to think & just reacts.

bonus track: it’s moving day for the sun, who is packing up after spending the last month in aquarius & settling into pisces for the next one. it takes a bit for him to feel settled, so we may not be feeling settled either, especially those of us leos, who are ruled by the sun. it’s best to keep expectations low today, spend time reflecting on what happened while sun was in aquarius & how we want to move forward.
