it’s tuesday, march 15, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha until noon, then leaps over the “gandanta” into leo & the starspace called magha midday mountain time. while cancer vibrates with the frequency of selfless love, leo vibrates with the frequency of sovereignty, which is, you might say, a form of self-love, but not self-cherishing. in the environment of leo, we feel into our own power, take responsibility for our world from a place of loving action rather than feeling, empathy. the gandanta is the border between water & fire signs, where no starry bridge (nakshatra, asterism, starspace) supports & transports the moon, i.e., our consciousness. so do be, um, mindful around midday (or however that translates to your time zone), b/c your mind, your consciousness, will not feel so supported.
ashlesha brings a lesson about what we are entangled by. as radhanath swami says, “everything in the material world can be used for spiritual growth or material entanglement.” are you using what you’ve got at your disposal to uplevel your life or are you letting it keep you stuck? what are you clinging to? why? knowing our “why” can be the key to releasing us from the prison of stagnation. magha brings a lesson about the connection between our sovereignty & humility, understanding that we get to be who we are b/c of all those who came before us & did the work they did, however imperfectly, that we stand on their shoulders—parents, mentors, teachers, etc., etc., etc. magha invites us to remember all of our ancestors, pay homage to them, whether we share their genes or not.
it’s the thirteenth lunar day, the thirteenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to kamadeva, the hindu cupid. it’s a good day to be with the ones you love, do what you love.
tuesday is ruled by mars, our source of courage. yes, it’s the courage to act, but the courage to act in integrity with who we be. it takes courage to be a stand for, say, those who are suffering, for what you believe, & take criticism for it. it’s way worse to be a coward, not be a stand for yourself & others, feel yourself crumble inside, let others continue to suffer. mars can take the heat!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
