it’s friday, march 18, & moon is in virgo, moving from the starspace called uttaraphalguni (where moon was full overnight) this morning into the starspace called hasta early this afternoon mountain time. virgo vibrates with the frequency of the details of our lives, taking care of the necessary but unsexy chores (at least for non-virgos, like me) that create a solid foundation for our lives.
uttaraphalguni (see yesterday’s post for more) brings a lesson about committing to what we love in order to ensure its success, hasta a lesson about understanding that we are not the doers, that we are but the vehicles, that we actually don’t do the manifesting, god does. breaking news: god is always in control.
it’s the first lunar day, the first phase of the waning moon, so if you’ve shaken off the intensity of the full moon, it’s time to start making headway on making your dream a reality by, perhaps, breaking it down into sizable chunks, sizable to-do’s, & start checking off those to-do’s. what one thing can you do today to bring your dream down to earth? hey, if you can do two things, so much the better, so much faster will your dream come true!
friday is ruled by venus, planet of love. the truth about love is that it’s a secret about a secret—the more you give, the more you receive. when i was last in india, one day i got to sit with a bunch of krishna devotees in the temple in mumbai while plucking the petals of various-colored flowers & separating them, to be used that evening for a festival. i was feeling sooooo blessed to be there, to have been at govardhan ecovillage, radhanath swami’s ashram, & i feared that i’d used up my good karma as a result. so i asked one of the devotees about that, & she said that the secret to good karma is that the more you use it, the more you’ll have, it is ever-replenishing. & i think love is like that. we have an endless supply, we need not be stingy with it, but if we don’t use it, we will lose it. so, how can you be generous with your love today?
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
