it’s thursday, march 21, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called ashlesha, until early afternoon, at which point it is going to leap into leo & the starspace called magha. this abrupt shift—moon has to make like evel knievel b/c there is no starry bridge for support—is one from the divine feminine into the divine masculine, from feeling into doing, from reflecting the light into being the light, from nourishing with love & compassion into lovingly & compassionately leading by example.
the point where ashlesha ends and magha begins, as between the end of all water & beginning of all fire signs, is called a gandanta. it’s a karmic knot—& guess who gets to untie it? us! &, yes, our karmic lessons are endless—just as as soon as we clean our house, it starts to get dirty again, so as soon as we clean up some karma, more comes to the surface. ashlesha helps us see our karmic dirt in terms of people-emotions-ideas-situations. magha reminds us that cleaning our karmic house benefits not only us but all those who came before us, that the more we heal ourselves the more we heal our lineage—which extends beyond our family of genealogical origin to our family of world origin, all of humanity. heal ourselves raises our vibration, which raises the collective vibration.
it’s the twelfth lunar day (tithi), the twelfth phase of the waxing moon, which is ruled by the sun, who supports us in clarifying our vision & guides our way on—even if we don’t know where we’re going.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, whose sanskrit name is guru. it is said that guru & god are the same, b/c the guru takes us to god, gives us the wisdom & guidance to perceive & receive the divine, to realize our own divine nature. it is also said that we need gurus until we realize that we are our own gurus. not to get all up in our heads about it, but if we are the ones who choose our teachers that means we know what we need, right? thursday is always a good day to show gratitude to our teachers by steeping in the teachings they have shared with us & have gotten us this much closer to experiencing our own divine nature.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
