it’s tuesday, march 22, & moon is in scorpio, moving from the starspace called vishakha into the starspace called anuradha about 9 am mountain time. scorpio vibrates with the frequency of our emotional/psychological grunge, our suffering in the face of our seeming helplessness, our fear of the unknown, our desire for things to be other than what they are. but the good news is that that suffering can be our stepping stone to god.
“so in a sense suffering is your best friend, b/c it starts you seeking god. when you begin to see clearly the imperfections of the world, you will begin to see the perfection of god.”—paramahansa yogananda
anuradha (see yesterday’s post for vishakha) can be translated as (or at least i’m translating it as) “following in the footsteps of radha” & is ruled by mitra, the divine friend, the great good friend. this asterism invites us to ask ourselves “what would radha do?” & brings a lesson about how being a devoted friend is the foundation of not only our friendship-friendships but our romantic-friendships, that the most divine romantic relationships are between two people who are devoted to each other as friends first & foremost. it’s a good day to deepen your devotion to your friends.
it’s the fifth lunar day, the fifth phase of the waning moon, which is connected to goddess energy, to healing & creativity. what wounds need to be healed today, especially given that moon is in scorpio & you may be feeling core wounds coming to the surface? how can you be the goddess that soothes & nourishes you?
tuesday is ruled by fiery mars, who is, besides being our courage, our anger index. when we get triggered, when we get angry, that’s an indication that one of our boundaries has been crossed. glennon doyle defines a boundary as “the edge of one of our root beliefs about ourselves & the world.” boundaries are unique to each of us & we often don’t know when one has been crossed until we are triggered. being triggered gives us an opportunity to examine those beliefs, to use our martian courage to do the deep inner dive, & ask ourselves whether they are worth keeping or not, whether they reflect who we want to be.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
