it’s monday, march 22, & moon is in gemini, in the starspace called punarvasu. the environment of gemini brings out our intellectual curiosity, our desire to explore new realms & share our discoveries with others, birth new brain synapses, lay down fresh cerebral tracks.
moon has been in gemini all weekend & i’ve been diving into the enneagram, which is, in case you don’t know, an incredibly insightful system for unpacking personality, understanding your own operating system & the systems of others, & then how your systems interact, what the dynamic co-created by your enneagram type + the other’s is—whether the other is a schoolmate or teacher or business partner, friend, beloved, or even your landlord.
& it just happens that my dear friend mike cohen, whose MO is bringing more love & joy & connection to the world (he’s a 9, if that means anything to you), has just released his super-special “enneagram for yogis” course (but you don’t have to be a yogi-yogi to benefit humongously). you can read some of his blog posts about the enneagram here & then sign up for the course here, if you feel so inclined. & fyi: the course is on sale now! (i don’t know about you, but “sale” is one of my fave four-letter words.)
the asterism punarvasu brings the lesson that the sun always comes out again, that there is always renewal after a storm, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, so if you had a stormy weekend, if your interior world has been feeling dark & dreary, you should be feeling lighter & brighter, more hopeful today.
it’s the ninth phase of the waxing moon, which is connected to serpent energy. which, yeah, can be toxic … unless we can use our toxic thoughts & emotions to know ourselves better, as in being able to inquire about where the hell they come from, ask ourselves what they are trying to protect us from—what they are preventing us from experiencing & why they would want to do that.
monday is the moon’s day, the day that vibrates with the special sauce of moon energy (& maybe mixed metaphors?!). we get to feeeeeel our feelings, & trust them, lean into our heart wisdom, aka our intuition.
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. it is my hope that the daily bliss can help you align with the day’s cosmic energy & find a little more bliss; that it inspires you to enlighten up a little more each day.
