it’s thursday, march 24, & moon is in sagittarius, in the starspace called mula. after the emotional/psychological turbulence of scorpio, after we have confronted our false or limiting beliefs, we search out new ones in jupiter-ruled sagittarius, which vibrates with the frequency of a belief system that anchors us, gives our life meaning, makes us feel hopeful.
but where do our beliefs come from but outside ourselves, from other people & society, & do we swallow them whole without chewing them to bits first, deconstructing them, examining them? do we trust without verifying, without doing due diligence? how often do we take the time to ask ourselves whether we know with our knowingness that the beliefs that have been handed down to us, even with the best of intentions, are true for us, that they support us in furthering our alignment with what is highest, with our highest purpose?
it is always a good time, but now especially, with moon in sag till saturday morn, to, as walt whitman said, “re-examine all you have been told in school or church or in any book, & dismiss whatever insults your own soul.”
mula, which means “root,” brings a lesson about what is deep rooted in us, about going back to our roots, about getting to the root of the problem. mula doesn’t beat about the, um, bush, but dauntlessly yanks out by the roots what doesn’t serve us—any narrative or fact or situation or person that shapes our perception of the world and interpretation of reality in any way that doesn’t support our highest expression of self, our connection to source, our knowing of & embodying our divine purpose.
it’s the seventh lunar day, the seventh phase of the waning moon, which is related to lord indra, the king of the gods, who was the protector & sustainer of the universe but who later in the life of hindu mythology had a serious ego problem. your challenge today is to feel into the power of your sovereignty, to strut your kingly/queenly/quingly stuff without getting all up in your head about it.
thursday is ruled by jupiter, planet of our beliefs. so, yeah, just read what i wrote above!
