it’s friday, march 26, & moon is in leo, in the starspace called purvaphalguni. leo, the king, is ruled by the sun, who brings clarity of vision, of purpose. the highest expression of our kingliness is to rule with everyone’s best interest at heart. by being clear about our highest purpose, stepping into our own power, shining as brightly as we can, we become stands for everyone to do so. our light is not about ego, not meant to be shined back on ourselves—hey, look at me!— but meant to be a beacon for others, to help create a world in which everyone shines, everyone roars with highest purpose.
purvaphalguni invites us to take a load off, enjoy ourselves, give ourselves a break from the responsibilities of ruling our kingdom, regardless of whether it’s an apartment or a thousand-acre estate or a whole country. being responsible is hard work! everyone needs a rest day—i mean, even god took a day off!
it’s the thirteenth phase of the waxing moon (full moon in virgo alert for sunday!), which is also related to our desire nature—just like today’s asterism, just like friday, which is ruled by venus & is why friday is considered vedic date night. so it should be pretty hard to resist the urge to be with the ones we love, enjoy ourselves however we can. & who would want to resist anyway? who would want to deny themselves pleasure? i mean, it’s practically a cosmic order today!
as mentioned above, venus is saucing up the day with love & creativity & beauty. & right now, at this very moment, venus & sun are within one degree of each other, like right on top of each other. normally, we don’t like the sun to get too close to planets but when sun is this close it’s considered a blessing. sun brings energy & purification to our inner venus today (actually march 22-28 but today is especially potent) & with venus exalted in pisces, meaning the planet is vibrating at his highest frequency, we have the opportunity to step up our venus game—take our relationships to a higher level, paint a masterpiece—if we can surrender to the truth & love of source.
