it’s thursday, march 28, & moon is in libra, in the starspace called vishakha. libra vibrates with the frequency of relationships—familial, romantic, business, platonic—that are mutually beneficial, good for me & good for you. relationships don’t come with trigger warnings, perhaps b/c triggers can give us an indication that something is off, that the balance is out of whack. people often say, “she/he/they triggered me,” but no one does anything to us. people are mirrors, they reflect something about ourselves back to us. if we get triggered by someone, it’s an opportunity to examine what that says about how we are showing up for ourselves in relationship, about the relationship dynamics, about what it reveals about ourselves, which just might be that we are abandoning ourselves, doing more than our fare share of the work—or not doing our work at all. our people have an impact on our nervous system, & therefore on our health. it’s up to us to keep ourselves healthy by choosing our people wisely. libra invites us to give ourselves a nervous system check-up.

vishakha is the only asterism ruled by two deities—indragni, aka indra & agni, the king & the priest. it reminds us of the interdependence of the material & spiritual aspects of our life, that it’s not one or the other, but both &. we are spiritual beings having a material/embodied experience. how does the material support your spirituality? how does your spirituality inform your material/earthly existence?

it’s the fourth lunar day (tithi), the fourth phase of the waning moon, which is connected to both yama, the god of death, & ganesh, who is both the placer of & remover of obstacles. death would be the final obstacle we get to overcome in this lifetime, right? meanwhile, ganesh lets us practice by continually giving us hurdles to jump over, roadblocks to circumvent. the key is to be able to feel not thwarted but challenged & to be able to rise to the challenge, see it as an opportunity to uplevel, evolve, grow, stretch ourselves.

thursday is ruled by jupiter, who grants us the grace of wisdom by giving us teachers & teachings. thursday is a good day to show our gratitude to our teachers.

“gratitude is the wine for the soul. go on. get drunk.”—rumi

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
