it’s monday, march 28, & moon moves from capricorn this morning into aquarius around midday mountain time while being transported & supported by the starspace called dhanishta. whereas capricorn vibrates with the frequency of getting serious about our individual lives, aquarius vibrates with the frequency of turning that seriousness outward. if, after spending the weekend under the influence of a capricorn moon, you are over, or feeling over, focusing on your personal goals, if you feel your work is completed there, for now, & are feeling called to expand your horizons toward the world at large, you are in alignment with the moon’s energy. there is always plenty we can do to improve the world around us, & it can be overwhelming, b/c there is so much to be done, but we can all always do something—anything & everything from buying a meal for a homeless person to donating money to a cause to volunteering in our community to calling our congresspeople & telling them what we think to starting a nonprofit.

dhanishta—from dhan = wealthy + ishta = most—can be translated as “wealthiest” & brings a lesson about what true wealth means & how we achieve it. people may think if we are wealthy in body, mind & soul, if we have material comforts, that we are merely lucky, as if fairy dust had been sprinkled over us at birth & the world’s riches were smorgasbord’d at our feet. but there is no such thing as luck; luck, or what appears as luck, is merely the result of our hard work, whether in this lifetime or a previous one. the braver we are, the harder we are willing to work, the more courage we have to do what’s hard, the luckier we will be. period. end of story.

it’s the twelfth lunar day, the twelfth phase of the waning moon, which is related to the sun, which, ya know, never stops shining, gives its light generously without asking for anything in return. how can you shine your light today as an offering to the world, as the gift that it is?

monday is ruled by the moon, who is considered a benefic, wants what’s best for us, wants everyone to benefit. it is said that true civilization means that everyone benefits. we might do well to ponder how many people actually benefit in our societies, who actually benefits, who pays the price so others can benefit, how we can create a true civilization.

& that’s your daily bliss! which is a kind of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss. may it inspire you to enlighten up a little more each day.
