it’s friday, march 31, & moon is in cancer, in the starspace called pushya until early afternoon, then in ashlesha. moon-ruled cancer is the environment of the divine feminine, of abundant mother love. under the sway of cancer we yearn to heart-connect with one & all & do so by loving on everyone, giving selflessly to our people. which is gorgeous, as long as we don’t overgive, which is cancer’s fatal flaw. cancer needs to remember that self-care is the foundation of being able to care for others—if we aren’t filled up, we have nothing to give to others.
pushya (see yesterday’s post for more) reminds us that what we nourish & how we nourish it, whether with high intention or not, will determine what & how it grows. ashlesha, where moon will be through tomorrow afternoon, is, yes, associated with clinging, toxic serpent energy—as if we haven’t already had enough of that this week! “toxic” is such a toxic word—ugh! how’s about we reframe it & just think of it in terms of whether we are attached to people/ideas/emotions/situations that are allowing us to bring our best game or not?
it’s the tenth lunar day, the tenth phase of the waxing moon, which is related to doing our dharma, being all we can be. as confucius said, “the will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential … these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.” so it’s a good day to be willful in all the best ways.
friday is infused with the energy of venus, planet of art & love, & is considered vedic date night. gallery-hopping followed by a romantic dinner, anyone? saturday is ruled by old-man saturn, who prefers solitude to socializing & is the farthest thing from a party animal, so today/tonight is much better for getting with your beloved—or a beloved hopeful—then you can hunker down with him/her/them all day tomorrow if things go well!
bonus track: venus just had a very close cosmic encounter with uranus, planet of sudden shocking revelations/events/changes, powerful intuitive insights, revolutionary & original ideas (uranus was, after all, discovered during the french revolution). did someone suddenly pop into your life out of the blue, pop out out of the blue? did you suddenly get an “aha” moment re your current creative project? you can thank uranus for that!
& that’s your daily bliss! which is a sort of lunar weather report. may it allow you to align with the day’s cosmic energy so you can find & create a little more bliss.
