it’s thursday, march 31, & moon is in pisces, in the starspace called uttarabhadra until about an hour before midnight mountain time tonight, when it moves into revati, where sun & moon will come together about an hour later, with sun blocking every last shred of moon’s light, producing the darkest dark moon of the cycle, after which the new moon is born, the first glimmer of light reveals itself, the next lunar cycle begins.
in pisces, we immerse in the cosmic ocean, which is the ocean of love. if we’re ready, we are liberated into it, but while that won’t happen for most of us in this lifetime, we can still gradually liberate ourselves more & more, gradually let go of more & more, lighten & enlighten up more & more in preparation for that eventuality. pisces is represented by two fish, joined head to tail, so pointed in opposite directions—toward the earthly & the otherworldly. if the fish had feet, one foot would be in this world, one in the other, but there are no feet, so we can feel ungrounded, afloat, tossed about looking for shore.
can you be with that uncertainty, that not-knowing, trust? can you hold the material & the spiritual simultaneously? remember that you are both earthly & otherworldly?
what beliefs or stories or people or projects or objects can you let go of that are tethering you to the old you, preventing you from embracing & embodying your god nature, your buddha nature, your otherworldliness?
uttarabhadra brings a lesson about following through on the inspiration we received in purvabhadra (see yesterday’s post for more), revati about taking it home, literally, hitting that spiritual ball out of the park, completing our work, whether in this lifetime or in this lunar cycle.
